GOD'S ARMY MOBILIZING

About GAM

Why Join the Army?

Scripture refers to the children of God as a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9). Jesus is the King of this nation (Revelation 15:3; 19:16). Every nation needs an army to defend and extend its territory.

While disciples are soldiers in the Army of God, Believers are mere civilians. Soldiers are far better equipped to survive the spiritual battles in this age – civilians are more likely to become casualties of war. Everyone should want to be a soldier!

Some benefits of faithful service as a soldier in God’s army are:

  1. A Kingdom and a Throne:

Often referred to as ‘the Rapture’, Revelations 20 depicts ‘the first resurrection’ when the faithful will be raised to rule and reign with the Lord physically on the earth for a thousand years. These people are soldiers who gave up their lives to do the will of God. (See also Revelation 17:14). “I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

  1. A Super Body:

Faithful soldiers will receive an immortal body in this "better resurrection" (Hebrews 11:35). 1 Corinthians 15:42-50 describes this ‘spiritual body’ – like the body Jesus had after He rose from the dead.

These soldiers will have a superhuman body that will be powered by the Spirit, not blood (as we presently have it). (Leviticus 17:11 – ‘for the life of the flesh is in the blood…’). Their supernatural abilities will surpass movie depictions; it will better than you can dream or imagine.

Jesus had a body powered by the Spirit: flesh and bones. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom, because with the spiritual body, the life is not in the blood – the life is eonian (eternal) through Jesus.

  1. Crushing Satan:

Soldiers have the privilege of partnering with the Lord in destroying the works of Satan on the earth. For a moment, imagine what that means... You get to take down the most wanted enemy on the planet and have your name imprinted in gold!

Romans 16:20 says, ‘the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.

The Lord Jesus extends His government (His Kingdom) by creating peace. Isaiah 9:7 says, ‘of the increase of His government and peace, there shall be no end.’

He does this through His soldiers on earth – the peacemakers (see Matthew 5:9).

  1. Meet & Greet with Abraham, Isaac & Jacob:

Faithful soldiers will have the privilege of ‘chilling with the big boys’ in the age to come (see also Luke 16:22). This is a reality that will come as a shock to many. Access to the celebrities of that age will be a big deal and not everyone will have it; only the faithful will.

“I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 8:11
