Deuteronomy 13 gives a strong warning: If a prophet or dreamer gives a sign or wonder, and it comes to pass—but they say, “Let’s follow other gods” — don’t listen.
That’s the test—not whether the sign came true, but whether it drew you closer to God.
There is a real calling called “dreamer of dreams.” Joseph was one. Daniel too. And some people in our time have that calling. It’s not hype—it’s prophetic. These dreams often contain years—sometimes decades—of revelation. But many believers ignore or mock them. “It’s just what you ate,” they say. That’s unbelief.
If you’re a dreamer, write it down. Record it. Many of the most accurate dreamers don’t even look prophetic—but their dreams are precise.
Dreams can be symbolic or literal, but here’s the key: if it pulls you away from love for God—even if it’s accurate—it’s not from God.
