Some of you have built a prison out of your past. God has unlocked the door — but you’re still inside. Why? Because you think pain is payment.
You think, “I hurt God, so now I must hurt.” And so you refuse joy, refuse peace, refuse comfort. You punish yourself with silence, with isolation, with coldness. You walk around heavy — thinking God likes that. But He doesn’t. He never asked you to feel bad forever. He asked you to repent, to confess, and then walk away clean.
There’s this false humility that looks like reverence but is really fear. You say, “I’m not worthy.” But God says, “I’ve made you worthy.” You say, “I’m not ready.” He says, “I’ll equip you.” You say, “I’ve failed.” He says, “Get up.”
Yes, He came to the mud to get you. But He doesn’t sit there with you forever. At some point, He says, “Rise.” And if you don’t, you’re no longer being humble — you’re being disobedient.
It’s not spiritual to keep weeping when God is calling you forward. It’s not noble to refuse restoration. It’s pride.
