Do you understand that Joseph did not create his dream? He slept at night and God gave it to him. He didn’t sit down, write out a plan, and hand it to heaven. He did not position himself to fulfill it. God gave the dream, and God fulfilled it.
But you sit down, write your plans, and impose them on God. You call it your dream. And you keep chasing what was never yours. False doctrine told you to do that. Instead of stopping to ask God, “What is Your plan for my life?” you carry your own plan and force it on Him. That is why many of you are running and running, and nothing comes to pass.
Psalm 139 says: before one of your days came to be, God had written them in His book. He has a book with your name. Ephesians 2:10 says: you were created in Christ Jesus for good works, prepared beforehand for you to walk in them.
God gave you a life, breathed into you, prepared good works, and you looked at Him and said, “I don’t care. I have my own plan.” Woe to the one who quarrels with his maker. That’s Isaiah 45. You’re like broken clay saying to the potter, “What are you making?”
Stop trying to run the plan. Ask God what He has written in His book concerning you.
