Fighting Battles God Did Not Send You To

Some of you have been defeated in life because you fought battles that were never yours—a complete waste of time. In Deuteronomy 2, God told Israel not to touch Mount Seir, the land of Ammon, or Moab. He said, “I will not give you even one inch of that territory.” But people still went, calling it a dream or vision, and they lost—because God was not with them.

In Numbers 14, they went up in presumption, though Moses warned them God was not with them. The Amalekites and Canaanites came down and beat them. This is the story of many Christians—fighting battles without God’s backing.

God marks out your territory. He said to Israel, “Wherever your foot touches within this boundary, I give to you.” Outside it, He gives nothing.

This truth will save you from unnecessary battles. Some of you buy things, pursue things, fight for positions God never gave you. And when destruction comes, you ask, “Where was God?” He was where He always is—He never sent you there.

Battles not sanctioned by God always end in defeat.
