Proverbs 24:7 says, “Wisdom is too high for a fool; he openeth not his mouth in the gate.” Wisdom is not easy to attain. If you think it’s too high, the Bible calls you a fool. Even if a book or person offers wisdom, a fool says, “It’s too high; I can’t reach it,” and walks away. The truth is, very few people are not fools. That’s why so few pursue real wisdom.
Fools can chase money, degrees, marriage, or positions—they can reach for anything except true wisdom. Real wisdom begins with the fear of God. The devil takes advantage of the foolishness in people because they ignore wisdom. If wisdom were low and easy, they would have picked it up. Wisdom is high; it requires effort, humility, and discernment.
