Hebrews 5:14 teaches that with time, you will be able to know good from evil. Do you agree that this means there will be both good and evil before us, and that we are supposed to learn to distinguish between them?
So what does this mean for people who accept everything—for those who think that anything and everything that comes, especially from the pulpit, is acceptable? You must understand that even in the house of God there are both good and evil things. 2 Timothy 2:20-21 says that in a large house there are vessels for honor and vessels for dishonor.
You must recognize that you cannot accept everything. If it’s bad, you should walk away from it. If you accept evil, or if you call good evil and evil good, you draw God’s displeasure. The Scriptures say in Isaiah 5:20, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”
