When you go before God, you must understand there is a procedure. The same way a lawyer knows how to speak before a judge, you must know how to approach God based on His Word. That’s why servants of God often pray saying, “Father, Your Word says…” They are following divine procedure — appealing to God on the basis of His law.
A lawyer doesn’t win because he shouts louder. He wins because he knows the law and presents his case according to it. That’s how it is with God.
Sometimes, when we pray, God is not responding — not because He can’t hear, but because we’re out of order. We’re presenting a case He cannot approve because it violates His Word.
That’s why knowing the Word matters. The Word teaches you how to pray rightly. It teaches you what to ask, how to ask, and when to stop asking. Without that, you’re just making noise before the Judge.
