Staying Close to the True River

There is so much falsehood in the church today, and the Holy Spirit is often grieved. Ministers have moved so far from the river of God that they are doing their own things, and the Spirit is not near them.

Some people are near a river, but it’s a dirty river—not God’s river. Revelation 12 shows that the dragon sends a flood, a river from his mouth, to overtake the woman—the church. It is a river of death, full of lies and deception.

If the Spirit of truth is a river of pure water, then Satan’s river is the opposite: a river of lies and half-truths. When it comes to sweep you away, it brings deception and then destruction. We must choose carefully which river we drink from.
