God’s method is the heavenly Jerusalem, the church from above. She dispenses truth continually, and that truth keeps setting God’s people free.
That is how you know which woman you have been in company with. Mystery Babylon puts people in bondage. The earthly Jerusalem produces bondage. The heavenly Jerusalem releases liberty. Revelation 18 says Babylon is a dwelling place for demons and impure spirits. Hebrews 12 says the heavenly Jerusalem is filled with thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly. All are dwellings. What differs is what dwells there.
During one of our healing meetings, people testified of angels. One sister said she saw angels working on her body, and an affliction she had for years disappeared. That is what happens in the heavenly Jerusalem.
The earthly Jerusalem can have sprinklings of this because God established it, but Satan has strong influence there. What results is a mixture: pride, hypocrisy, envy, politics, greed, love of money—all mixed in, all in the name of Jesus. That mixture is what turns something heavenly into something earthly.
Ask Abraham. God had a plan, but impatience produced Ishmael through Hagar. A son of bondage. It always involves haste and a refusal to wait.
It is better to be free and delayed, than productive and bound. When the clash came, the free woman prevailed. Abraham said to Sarah, “Do with her [Hagar] whatever you think best.” That is freedom.
The earthly Jerusalem produces captivity. To the degree you are subject to her, there will be bondage in your life. To the degree you are subject to the heavenly Jerusalem, there will be liberty.
The heavenly Jerusalem is a free woman. She is a submissive wife. Scripture says Sarah obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.
