Scripture teaches a consistent pattern: authority represents God. When God places authority over you, your response to that authority reflects your response to Him. This is why rebellion carries weight. It is not just disagreement. It is disorder.
Even when a father is not born again, his words can still carry weight over his children. Why? Because there is an order to things. Hebrews 12:9 points to this. Authority is not about personal perfection. It is about divine structure.
The children of Israel never directly accused God, but God responded as though they had. He acted as though they had walked straight into the Holy of Holies and pointed a finger at Him. That is the lesson. When God gives instruction through authority, obedience is not optional if it does not contradict His word.
This pattern repeats with David and Absalom. David begged for his son, just as Moses begged for the people. Sometimes God listens. Sometimes God steps over the pleading leader. God is never confused.
Winning with God requires learning from patterns in scripture. You do not go to scripture to instruct God. You go to learn. You observe. You ask questions. And God explains.
If you disregard authority because of how you feel, you place yourself in danger. Winning with God requires alignment with His order, not emotional justification for rebellion.
