It is not every time you are given the backstory of how someone was sent. Many times you simply know they were sent because certain confirmations and signs follow. When God sends someone, there are things that accompany that sending.
But the thought has crossed my mind over the years: what happens when someone simply throws themselves out there?
What happens when someone enters a public spiritual space without being sent?
The spirit realm recognizes activity. It also recognizes inactivity. A person can remain quiet and nothing happens. But once activity begins, once something begins to attract attention, things in the spirit start noticing.
When the wise men came from the east to visit the child Jesus, those were not ordinary visitors. They were presidential-level guests. When that kind of movement happens in the spirit, other spirits take note.
Demonic spirits take note. Higher level spirits take note. They begin to ask: Who did that? Why did Gabriel pass here? Why is there angelic activity here? What is happening in this place?
Spirits do not need human eyes to see. They perceive spiritual activity.
Have you ever walked toward someone under demonic influence and they reacted before they even saw you? I have seen it. I have walked toward people who could not possibly know it was me, and suddenly they reacted. Why? Because spirits recognize spiritual presence.
Years ago, we were casting a demon out of a brother. As we were praying and singing, the demon suddenly manifested intense fear. It did not make sense, based on what we were doing. I was already commanding it to leave and it was mocking me.
Then suddenly, the reaction changed. The demon began looking around in terror, turning its head like an animal, as if asking, “Who is that?” I am almost certain the angel assigned to remove that spirit had arrived. The reaction did not come because of me. It came because something had entered the environment that it recognized.
These things are real in the spirit realm.
