TITLE: Breathless – My Battle with Asthma
MISSION: Operation Malady
REPORTED BY: Agent V. M

I have lived with asthma since I was five years old, which means I struggled with the condition for about 14 to 15 years. It was a deeply stigmatizing experience for me. I couldn’t do the things I wanted to do or relate with people the way I longed to. I had to be careful about what I ate, especially fried or oily foods, and I couldn’t engage in physical activities like playing football or running because they would often trigger an attack.
Sometimes, despite all my precautions, I would still suffer attacks, especially during intense moments or when I got carried away with sports. Sometimes, during my sleep, I would suddenly find it very difficult to breathe. This went on for years, until one Friday, during a church service, I had a severe attack. I felt embarrassed and frustrated. I stepped outside and cried out to God from my heart, asking Him to take this condition away from me.
Miraculously, my symptoms began to gradually reduce, and I haven’t had any asthmatic fits or attacks for the past one month.
I’m shocked and incredibly grateful for this period of good health, as it has been such a blessing to my life. I’m no longer living in fear of an attack, and I’ve been completely freed from the financial burden of constantly buying inhalers and medication.
I’m thankful for God’s mercy and His healing power. May the name of the Lord be praised. Amen.
