I have always been careful when leading people to the Lord. Many respond emotionally in the moment, but once the meeting ends, there is no growth. That is why I sometimes tell people not to respond immediately, but to go and think about it. Coming forward means nothing if there is no desire to grow afterward.
I remember one young man who stood there crying. It was clear something was happening. But when follow-up began, he stopped attending church meetings. The person assigned to him later said he claimed he was already a leader in another church. A leader—yet not born again. That alone raises a serious question: what kind of church makes someone a leader who has not even come to Christ?

If a church can place someone in leadership without caring whether they are born again, then the problem is not the individual. It shows that the pastor does not consider salvation essential. And if a pastor does not care whether someone is born again, how can he truly be a pastor? Jesus said that when the blind lead the blind, both fall into a ditch. Where exactly are they going?
Over time, I have seen many kinds of churches. Some give people positions on their first visit. They do not ask questions. They do not care about new birth. All they want is numbers.
A blind person cannot lead another blind person. Many do not see this because they themselves are blind—and that is why such systems continue.
