If God gives a group of people a key to open a certain door, the question is simple: were those keys invented by them, or were they given by God?
If they were given by God, and you attempt to copy them and produce an identical key on your own, what are you actually doing? You may end up being accused of forgery.
Imagine someone receiving a key to open a particular door by divine assignment. Instead of aligning with that assignment, another person studies the key, tries to reproduce it, and begins opening similar doors elsewhere. That may look impressive on the surface, but spiritually it can be extremely dangerous. Because when the door opens, two sides may confront you.
The enemy may attack you because you stepped into a battlefield that was not assigned to you. At the same time, the side that actually carried the original assignment may also reject what you are doing because it is unauthorized.
It may sound humorous to say it this way, but the picture is serious: imagine being slapped by a demon and an angel at the same time. Imagine cherubim joining hands with principalities and both of them hitting you from opposite sides.
One attacks because you are trespassing into territory that was not assigned to you. The other reacts because you tried to imitate something that was not yours to reproduce. The result is confusion and destruction.
This is why the principle is simple: do not fight battles assigned to others. Overcome what is in front of you.
Your assignment is enough. Your portion is enough. The victory God intends for you comes from handling what He has placed directly before you.
