Don’t sit down and say, “If only I was like Daniel. If only I could see visions.” Stop it. Daniel was reading his Bible and praying. The angel came and said, “From the first day you set your mind to gain understanding and humbled yourself, your words were heard.”
Do you set your mind to gain understanding?
You want to know why you’re not growing? You won’t even give God five minutes. After church, I used to look for anywhere — an empty store room, a corridor, anywhere — to go and seek God. No comfort. No food till evening. Just reading the Bible and praying. And understanding came.
I still pray, “Give me understanding,” and God still answers.
Stop looking for fantastic things. Seek God.
