Have you ever watched a sword being made?
It’s long. It’s hot. It’s repetitive. Strike. Cool. Heat. Fold. Polish. Over and over. It takes time, precision, and patience.
That’s what it takes to build the Word of God into a usable weapon in someone’s life.
But we don’t want that. We want quick fixes. “Just give me a verse, Pastor.” “Just say something powerful.” We want daggers, not swords — something quick, something now.
And that’s why we lose battles.
The enemy isn’t using penknives. He’s using long, sharp swords — lies forged over time. Wicked speakings polished by media, music, influencers, and corrupted pulpits. When they speak, it’s like the piercing of a sword.
And you? You’re standing there with scissors.
Because you couldn’t wait to be trained. Because you refused the process. Because you never sat under the hammer of doctrine.
But if you will yield, if you will stay in the fire and let the Lord forge the Word into you — then you’ll be ready to fight.
