The law of God is righteous and good, but it was weakened because of the flesh. So what did God do? He sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful man as an offering for sin. By His blood, sin in the flesh was condemned.
The law demanded blood for the remission of sins. That’s why under Moses, goats and bulls were sacrificed. But goat blood cannot compare to human blood. And human blood cannot compare to the blood of the Son of God. His blood released a power that breaks every other power.
The Lamb of God takes away the sin of the world. That is why you cannot despise or mock the sacrifice of Christ.
