I’ve seen people have clear encounters — hear exact words, see visions that are undeniable. And they still go ahead and disobey God. Why? Because light doesn’t force obedience. Light only gives you the opportunity to make a clear choice. You’re still free to choose.
The devil doesn’t disappear just because you saw a vision. He waits until you’re tired. Until you’re careless. Until you’re overconfident. That’s when he shows up. The temptations often come after the light.
Judas saw everything. He saw miracles, heard every teaching. He was part of the inner circle. He even got sent out by Jesus to preach and heal. And still, he betrayed Him.
Paul said he disciplined his body. He didn’t rely on past victories. He was aware he could fall, even after preaching to others. If Paul had to fight, who are you not to? Spiritual maturity doesn’t exempt you from the possibility of a fall. In fact, it often means you’re a bigger target.
