Victory without replacement is short-lived. The Lord warned Israel not to drive out the nations too quickly, or the land would be filled with wild beasts. It is the same principle for us. When God clears something out of your life, you must intentionally fill that space with what is good.
If poverty is driven out, replace it with diligence. “Let him that stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good.” (Ephesians 4:28). If something is lost, cast something in to restore it — like Elisha did when he threw a stick into the water and the axe head floated (2 Kings 6:5–7). If the water is bitter, God will show you what to throw in to make it sweet (Exodus 15:25).
Never weed land you do not intend to plant in. Never clear a space and walk away. God’s pattern is always displacement followed by replacement. To occupy the spaces we empty is to secure victory; to leave them empty is to invite defeat.
