Start With What God Already Told You

Everyone likes to talk about “finishing well” and “receiving an inheritance,” but the real problem is that many don’t even remember the little God already told them. The instruction is not long, yet you forgot it. That’s how distracted you are. And do you know why? Because the very simple things God told you, like “obey your mother,” “wash the plates,” you disobeyed. That one small thing shuts down the next instruction. Till you wash those plates faithfully and consistently, you won’t hear anything else.

You think God doesn’t care about these things. You think they are too small to matter. These are the real exams: “wash the plates.” “Sweep the floor.” “Wash the car.” Do it well. Don’t do it for recognition. Don’t wait for someone to clap. If you knew what is at stake, you would even ask if it’s up to standard, and do it better and better, till you are the best. Heaven is taking notes, whether you believe it or not.

But instead, people chase after giving a “sacrifice befitting a king.” All that talk is empty when you’re slapping your wife at home. Who are you deceiving? You think Jesus is impressed because you dropped two million? What shakes heaven is repentance. “I’m sorry” causes dances in heaven. Your money does not.
