One reason judgment comes on churches is because shepherds do not take care of the sheep. Many churches are not pastoring churches; people just come and go, and no one truly knows them. From the beginning, God told us to take care of people. That’s why we deliberately put structures in place so that everyone has someone to talk to—someone to ask, “Did you read your Bible? Did you listen to what you were told? Did you apologize where you were supposed to?”
Pastors are not just preachers; they are shepherds. They care for the sheep. If no one is watching over your soul, you suffer unnecessary battles. Many people live long, hard lives because they had no one to guide them. But with just a few steps of obedience, people can move from a life of constant struggle to a life of peace.
