I came across a situation where some people ignored the clear instructions of their leader,
chose to go their own way, and broke off from the structure they were part of.
This is what happens when respect for authority is lost.
People often forget that their growth and success aren’t just about their personal abilities—
they’re also tied to the leadership and structure that supported them.
Even after time passes, there may be apologies or attempts at reconciliation,
but it all points to the same issue—a lack of reverence,
a loss of understanding of what it means to be a soldier in a structured command.
Paul spoke to Timothy about the importance of commitment and staying faithful to what was taught.
He said, “The things I told you among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful men.”
When Paul spoke about Timothy, he said, “He’s the only son of his kind; I have no one else like him.”
Timothy stood out because of his choices, faithfulness, and commitment.
It’s not about how someone starts, but how they continue.
It’s those who endure to the end who will be saved.
This is a reminder that the challenges we face and the frustrations that build up over time
are tests of our perseverance and reverence for authority.
