When you choose to disregard what God has clearly said—His commands on obedience and authority—what you’re really saying is: “There is no God.” You may not say it with your lips, but you say it with your life.
That’s what makes you a fool.
It’s not about Sister Shepherd or Brother Shepherd. It’s not about the vessel. It’s about the command behind the vessel. God Almighty has spoken—“Young men, submit to your elders.” But when you act as if that instruction is optional, you declare that God doesn’t exist. Not really. Not to you.
Yes, you know it’s in the Bible. But to you, the Bible has become a storybook. A collection of human opinions. Because if you truly believed that God commanded what your leader is echoing, you would not treat it as irrelevant. But you do. You treat it as though it’s just man speaking. Just your leader. As though there is no Commander above your commanding officer.
And even when the Holy Spirit personally convicts you, many still turn a deaf ear.
I’ve seen it again and again—people who refuse to listen when truth is given to them plainly. But later—sometimes months later—after pain and scars, they return and say, “The Holy Spirit told me.” And what they say He told them is exactly what they were told earlier. They heard, but only obeyed once they had bled.
God is not impressed by your delayed obedience dressed as revelation.
Obedience is still better than sacrifice.
