A war is not just coming—it’s already on. Battles are underway, and more are ahead. But there’s a particularly massive one approaching. I’m not speaking of physical conflict, I’m speaking of spiritual battles.
You will need strength in the Lord and in the power of His might. You must have learned how to put on the whole armor of God.
Now imagine this: you don’t know how to put on the full armour. You’ve got a helmet, maybe a belt, a sword but no breastplate. No shield. Just one strike from the enemy and your chest is exposed. That’s fatal. Yet some of you have been trained to focus on one piece of armor, as though that alone will protect you. That’s not what Scripture says. You are commanded to put on the whole armor.
You might say, “I read my Bible daily. I pray—oh, I don’t joke with prayer! I wake up by 3am to pray.” But you’ve ignored the shoes of peace. You don’t walk in peace. You don’t care whether you’re at peace with others. Your attitude is, “I have no time for anyone. I can cut anybody off.” Scripture calls that foolish.
Why? Because even if you have a belt, sword, helmet, breastplate, and shield—if you lack peace, your feet are bare. The first thing you step on as you leap out to war could destroy you. A single nail could take you down. Your own lack of peace—with God, with people—will be your downfall.
You’ve heard the truth. You’ve listened to messages. Yet you still maintain the power to sever relationships with your brethren and feel nothing. My concern is not with those who fall and repent, but with those who no longer care. No apology. No effort to make peace. Just “Let it be. Leave me alone.”
And yet, every morning, you read your Bible. Still, you step on that spiritual nail. Because you refuse to wear the full armor.
Put on the whole armor of God. All of it. Not some.
