There’s something called witchcraft. It’s in churches today. It’s in the messages you listen to. It’s in your appetite. You want more money, more recognition, more pleasure — and someone taught you how to do it in Jesus’ name. That teacher is Jezebel.
She calls herself a prophetess. But her teachings produce two things: sexual immorality and idolatry. That’s how you know it’s her spirit at work. Anyone teaching you things that make you desire more — more money, more expensive clothes, more admiration, more self — is serving Jezebel’s gospel. And she doesn’t target unbelievers; she deceives God’s servants.
That desire to hit one million in savings, and then two million, then five — though people around you are in need and you never help. That urge to keep your second account untouched “for security” while others can’t eat — that is idolatry, that is greed, that is witchcraft.
And the punishment? Sickness. Suffering. Tribulation. Spiritual death. Jezebel’s children will be struck dead.
So next time you’re tempted to laugh at witchcraft as something old women do, ask yourself: Do I ignore God’s Word? Do I keep making excuses when God speaks? Do I admire voices that downplay holiness? Do I want to be rich more than I want to be righteous?
You may already be sitting on Jezebel’s bed. (Revelation 2:20-23).
