Everything looks fine. You’ve arranged the externals, bought furniture, swept your emotional front porch. But the Father has nothing to do with you. He’s not at home in you. So, you’re not okay.
You may look okay. People might admire you. You might even admire yourself. But the only true proof of success is that your Father in Heaven is pleased with you.
The Father is not offended that other parts of your life are organized. He’s offended when you act like you’re okay — when the main thing hasn’t been done. His will is not being done in your life, neither has His kingdom come. So, He cannot dwell with you.
The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. And the devil’s work — what we must overcome by the blood, by the word of our testimony, and by not loving our lives unto death — must be tackled with purposeful, willful obedience.
