You want the devil to show up and say,
“I’m about to shoot you with arrows of lust — should I go ahead? You’ll feel lustful all the time. You’ll struggle for weeks.”
Is that how it works?
And you imagine the devil will say,
“Okay, I won’t shoot since you don’t want me to.”
Is that how war is fought?
Surprise is one of the most effective strategies in war.
You were just there — then suddenly, it hits.
You don’t even know how.
That phrase — “I don’t know how it happened…”
That’s war. That’s what it looks like.
Welcome to the war.
And whoever told you that coming to Jesus would end the battle either lied or left something out.
Maybe they just wanted to end the sermon quickly, so they skipped the part that would make you ask,
“Pastor, why is it still hard?”
The truth is: we were made for war.
You weren’t saved to escape the fight.
You were saved to win it.
