When Satan came for Jesus, he didn’t come with a knife. He didn’t come with a bomb. He came with words. He came with thoughts: “If you are the Son of God, turn these stones to bread.”
What was he trying to do?
He was trying to do what he’s been doing since the beginning: plant an idea, plant a suggestion.
The real war is not in the village. It’s not in your office. It’s not even in your church. The real war is in the realm of the thoughts — the soul, the heart.
That’s why Scripture says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity.
That’s where Satan wants to win.
If he wins there, he’s won — even if you’re still standing.
He doesn’t need to kill you. He just needs to corrupt your heart.
Because once your heart goes, your body will follow.
