How can you prepare if you’re not told that war is at the door?
Before the Russia-Ukraine war began, old men and women were learning to shoot. Professors, mothers, retirees—they were being trained as soldiers. That’s not ancient history. That’s recent.
It’s why I talk about war all the time. And by war, I mean discipleship. It’s why I can’t preach a message that just rubs your head and gives you goosebumps. I’ve heard the trumpet of war, like Jeremiah said. I’ve seen what’s coming. And I know many are not ready.
God sends out an alarm—and the Church turns it into recreation. God is sounding a warning, and we’re making it entertainment. But for those who stand at the sentry post, it’s terrifying.
You see the lights in the distance, you know an attack is coming, and everyone else is asleep.
