Both Judas and Samson encountered God in remarkable ways. Judas walked closely with Jesus. Samson repeatedly received the Spirit’s power. Yet both fell.
The issue was not that they did not experience God enough. The issue was the weakness they allowed to remain. Judas was greedy. Samson was indisciplined. These gaps in their lives were never sealed, and the devil pressed on them until they gave way. That is how he works.
The lesson is simple: when you experience God, do not assume you are safe. Instead, stay humble. Peter, James, and John also experienced great things, but they learned humility under the mighty hand of God. That is the way to remain standing after an encounter.
