How many times have you said, “I’ll just please the flesh a little”? You think you can handle it. Then, before you know it, you’re neck-deep, regretting you ever started. You say, “Oh God, I’m sorry.”
You thought you’d just say one word, do a little or react a little, and it would end there. But it never ends there. Some people went deep, and haven’t come out for months.
That’s how sin works. You tell yourself, “I know better than that. I’m just looking.” Next thing, you’re lost, and people are searching for you spiritually. They’re calling your name. “Where are you?” You’re in the thick forest. Thank God for anyone who helped you come out. James 5 says that whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way saves them from death and covers a multitude of sins. Without such help, you might never have come out.
