#226 | Rebellion: Empowering Darkness

When Pastor asked for us to be shown things to come, at first I saw two characters from an anime I used to watch. The male character was called Gentle Criminal, and the female character was named La Brava.

La Brava was so attached to Gentle Criminal that even if he did bad things, she didn’t care. She supported him nonetheless. And when the heroes would fight against Gentle Criminal and beat him up almost to the point of death, she would give him her power and resuscitate him. Her power was called “Love.”

Then I heard, “Get rid of the Stockholm syndrome.”
It seemed like some people were empowering certain demons that should have been cast out by now through some form of emotional attachment.
It seemed they were still enjoying the seeming ‘benefits’ of being possessed by the demon.

(Stockholm syndrome is a proposed condition or theory that tries to explain why hostages sometimes develop a psychological bond with their captors.)

When I Googled the anime characters, these things stood out to me:

• The personality of Gentle Criminal: Selfish, driven by fame and recognition.

• La Brava’s Relationship with Gentle Criminal: She is extremely loyal to Gentle, and her love for him is a source of his power.
