While praying, I saw someone open a door to a room filled with jewelry, gold, and similar valuables. I was shown around, and then I heard a shout within me:
“You will be tested; make sure you don’t fall.”
It was more like I was being told that there had already been a test, and that more tests would come. In different aspects of our lives, we would be tested.
While we knelt down singing “I Will Trust in You,” I remembered that recently the song had been coming to mind. The Holy Spirit was laying emphasis on holding tightly to God and depending on His strength for what lies ahead of us.
At that point, I felt as though an eye drop together with a contact lens had been placed on my eyes. This was for clearer vision and the ability to see far. I think I heard:
“Be still and see.”
Then I saw a war scene from a distance. It was as though I was watching it from afar. The war seemed like it had already happened, but a rewind of it was being shown to me.
The people were being defeated in the battle, and I understood that I should note the reasons why that happened.
I then noticed that most of them did not have helmets. They did not utilize their giftings properly, and most importantly, their backs were not covered; they were exposed.
I remembered Ephesians 6. There was no provision for the back, which made it seem as though we are meant to watch one another’s backs. There needed to be a rearrangement of positions.
This was when one of us started prophesying about formations for warfare.
I then saw horses running very fast on their own. My own horse came to me, and I jumped on it. It seemed we were heading somewhere in a hurry, probably to form the new rearrangements.
I saw that the whole camp was busy. There were archers, and people were sharpening arrows and storing them in their quivers.
However, in one corner, I saw some people carving wood, making ancient masquerade-like faces. They were like idols.
I wondered what they were for, or rather what those people were doing. I got the impression that not everyone wanted to prepare for the battle. They wanted to have or keep something else they could put their trust in.
I remembered the scripture:
“The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the righteous run to Him and are safe.”
Later, when it seemed that the battle had come, those who were carving the wooden figures did not want to fight at all. All they wanted to do was hide under those wooden carvings when the battle started.
They did not want to receive any wounds from the battle, so hiding under those carvings became their form of protection.
