#261 | The Cost of Compromise

As I worshipped with a new song, I saw a vast body of water that looked like the sea. A large crowd of people—many recording videos with their cellphones—stood around the water body. Their faces were lit with joy from what they were watching. I turned to see what it was, and I saw a beast that looked like a mermaid coming out of the sea. To the people, however, the beast looked beautiful rather than beastly. The crowd consisted of pastors, priests, Christians, and others whose identities I could not determine.

They were so captivated that they did not notice the beast slowly moving toward them to engulf and drown them. At this point, I heard:

“Delusion.”

The beast engulfed them with water and swirled them around, deliberately making them comfortable by playing with them. They immensely enjoyed the play, and even more people joined the crowd. I think they came because they had seen the videos posted by the people making them.

Their delusion continued as the beast took them into the sea while showing them beautiful places.

I wondered why Christians were part of the crowd. Then I heard:

“Woe to you if you dwell among stragglers—the mixed multitude.”

It came as a warning about becoming comfortable with the company of stragglers. Then I remembered a word I had gotten in the morning about evil company corrupting good morals. In following such company, you would be enticed and carried away by this creature.

I started praying, asking God for clarity concerning this mixed multitude. Then I got:

“When My fire comes, you will see the distinction; those that can, and those who would withstand the fire.”

Then I heard the sound of a rushing wind. It was separating things—like chaff being blown away. I remembered that I had been having impressions about the wind blowing and separating things.
