Many Christians think spiritual warfare is only about shouting at demons.
Meanwhile, they ignore one of the greatest weapons scripture talks about. Righteousness.
The Bible calls it a breastplate. A breastplate protects the heart (Ephesians 6:14).
When attacks come, righteousness absorbs impact.
But many believers were taught strange things. They were taught that righteousness only means “the righteousness of Christ,” so personal obedience no longer matters.
That is not what scripture teaches.
Revelation speaks about “the righteousness of the saints” (Revelation 19:8). That means the righteous acts of God’s people.
The things they do. Their obedience. Their conduct. Their actions.
Ephesians says we were created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10). Not just for believing. For doing.
Most believers underestimate how much protection comes from obedience.
When your life is full of compromise, disobedience, dishonesty, corruption, impurity, wickedness, and carelessness, many attacks land successfully because your breastplate is weak.
Righteousness is not decoration. It is armor. Good works matter. Integrity matters. Mercy matters. Generosity matters. Truthfulness matters. Obedience matters.
These things are not optional extras in Christianity. They are weapons.
This is why Satan fights so hard to normalize sin while convincing believers that conduct no longer matters.
Because once righteousness is weakened, many other attacks begin to succeed easily.
God did not create His people merely to talk about truth. He created them to walk in it.
