There are Christians who think that once you are born again, that is the end of the matter. No. The Bible says there are good works prepared beforehand for you to do (Ephesians 2:10).
Before you got born again, God already had things written down concerning your life. The problem is that many believers never ask God anything. They just copy what they see somebody else doing.
This person is doing business, you rush there too. This person started ministry, you start too. This person moved to another country, and you want to move as well.
Have you asked God?
Paul encountered Jesus and the first thing after “Who are you Lord?”, was “What would You have me do?” (Acts 9). From that moment his life became a life led by God.
Many believers are afraid to ask God questions because they are afraid of the answer. They already have plans and they don’t want interruption. But how will you do the will of God if you refuse to ask Him what it is?
People say, “God understands my heart.” But scripture keeps speaking about what people DID.
Faith without works is dead (James 2:14-26).
Everybody quotes “Abraham believed God,” but they stop reading. James explained it clearly. Abraham was considered righteous for what he DID when he offered Isaac (James 2:21-23). It is faith and actions working together.
There is no real faith that produces no obedience. There is no Christianity that exists only “inside your heart.” If you believe Jesus is Lord, then when He speaks, you obey.
God is looking for people who will actually do what He prepared for them to do.
