When you pray for someone, you do not need to stand there checking everything that is happening.
Especially when you pray for healing, you can pray and walk away. You have done your job.
Sometimes people make the mistake of praying and immediately asking, “Are you better? Do you feel better now? What are you feeling?” And if the reply is no, they walk away disappointed.
You are harming yourself when you make the result of the prayer depend on what you can immediately see or feel.
I prayed for people when I was younger and did not know what happened until years later. One person I prayed for had an immediate healing, but she did not tell me until we met again much later. If I had been waiting for her to tell me immediately before believing God could work, I would have missed the lesson.
Even recently, after a prayer against sickness, people later testified that they became well. I did not ask people to raise their hands when I prayed. I simply prayed.
What would have happened if I had waited for some sensation in my hand before believing?
You cannot make yourself the evidence that God is working.
God can do anything, and He can do it through anyone who will allow Him. Your responsibility is to obey God. His responsibility is to do what only He can do.
This is why you should not be afraid to step out in faith. You may pray for twenty people and perhaps five get well. You may not even know which five.
You do not have to know everything. You do not have to feel everything. You do not have to see everything.
Trust God. Pray. Obey Him. Then leave the matter with Him.
