Do Not Compare Your Gift With Someone Else’s

You can look at somebody with five talents and conclude that you were given nothing because you only have one. That is a wrong way to think.

In real life, when you see someone who has become a billionaire, you do not say, “Because I cannot become a billionaire, I will not start a small business.” You start with what you have.

But sometimes people become spiritually foolish.

You see a servant of God who has many healings, prophecies and miracles, and instead of praying for the sick in your own room, you say, “That person is doing all these things. What can I do?”

You refuse to preach the gospel to your classmate. You refuse to reach out to your colleagues at work. You refuse to do anything because you are comparing yourself with somebody who has been given something different.

That is not how we behave physically, so why do we behave that way spiritually?

You may not have what somebody else has, but you have something. Use it.

The fact that somebody else is doing something on a larger scale does not mean you should refuse to do your own part.

Somebody can become a great doctor, lawyer or engineer while also giving their life to God.

You do not have to choose between using your life for God and developing your career if it is His will. The issue is what has first place.

Those who refuse to lay down their lives lose them. Those who lose their lives for His sake find them.

So stop looking at somebody else’s talent and calling your own insignificant.

Find what God has given you and use it.

Do not bury it simply because somebody else received more.
