You can have a degree in Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew. You can study classical languages. You can read original manuscripts. You can have tremendous academic knowledge and still not know truth in the way God intends.
Education and study can give you facts. But truth is beyond facts.
The Spirit of truth is the One who reveals truth.
That is why there are people who have not gone to school who know far more about the things of the Spirit than people who have studied extensively.
The issue is not that education is useless. The issue is that academic prowess cannot replace the work of the Spirit.
The Bible says, “The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him” [Psalm 25:14]. It does not say the secret of the Lord is with those who went to school.
If you want to know the secret things, you need proximity. You have to be close. You have to follow. You have to be attentive. You have to be diligent.
You cannot think your way into truth.
If the Spirit does not guide you into truth, you can use your brain cells, your knowledge, and your learning, but you will still miss what God is showing you.
The Spirit has to reveal it.
He authored the book. He wrote it. And because He authored it, He is the One who can open it up to you. There are layers of interpretation and layers of understanding, and the Spirit continues to reveal them.
