It’s a tri-dimensional soteria—salvation has three dimensions because captivity has three dimensions. The devil doesn’t attack just one area of your life. He works through three channels:
The world, the devil himself, and your own flesh.
If the enemy is fighting you, it’s in one of these three places. He might strike your physical realm—your health, your finances, your stability. He could aim at your soul—your thoughts, your emotions, your mental state. Or he may strike at your spirit—trying to poison the water, distort the truth, and corrupt your beliefs. That’s what he’s doing all over the church today.
If you don’t recognize which area he’s attacking, you won’t understand what you’re supposed to fight. Every believer must recognize the battlefronts and discern what strategy is needed. This is why Paul, John, James, and Jude kept addressing doctrine. Not because they were obsessed with ideas—but because warfare requires clarity about truth.
