The church isn’t just under attack in its body—it’s poisoned in its spirit. False doctrine is the filthiness of the spirit Paul talked about in 2 Corinthians 7:
“Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
Holiness isn’t just a lifestyle issue—it’s a doctrine issue. What you believe is what you will live. If you believe lies, you will live wrongly. If you embrace truth, your life will follow.
That’s why the enemy’s goal is to twist doctrine—he knows your beliefs shape your actions. Many Christians—without even realizing it—are walking around defiled in their spirit, not just because of sin, but because of what they’ve come to accept as truth.
Purity isn’t just about staying away from fornication. It’s about staying away from false teaching. And if you’ve been taught wrongly, the only way out is to be taught rightly.
