Many people lose victories after they have already received them. Not because God changed His mind. Not because the prayer did not work. Not because the power of God failed.
They lose it because when the enemy comes back to intimidate them, they surrender the ground.
It is like someone receiving a property legally after a court case. The land is yours. The judgment has already been given in your favor. But then one night, old enemies stand outside the gate shouting threats.
Instead of standing confidently inside the property that legally belongs to you, you panic and run away. That is exactly what happens spiritually to many believers.
God heals them. Then a symptom appears again and they become afraid.
God gives them peace. Then one bad day comes and they conclude they are back where they started.
God delivers them from bondage. Then temptation returns and they immediately surrender.
The enemy understands fear. Sometimes all he wants to know is whether you understand what has already been secured for you.
There are believers who will forever need somebody else to fight every battle for them because they never learn how to resist personally.
But scripture says resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
Many people think resistance means screaming. No. Sometimes resistance is simply refusing to accept what God already delivered you from.
“No, this is not mine anymore.” “No, this bondage ended already.” “No, this oppression cannot stay.”
And sometimes the enemy leaves immediately. Sometimes he pressures for a while. But if you stand your ground, eventually he withdraws.
The devil checks whether believers have additional weapons after prayer.
“Do you have knowledge? Do you have boldness? Do you have perseverance? Do you know how to stand after victory?”
Because many people know how to receive. Very few know how to maintain.
