When you remain among people who live in sin, don’t expect to remain unchanged. Evil company corrupts good manners. You may start out strong, but slowly, you’ll begin to change.
At first, you’ll see someone you know who sins actively crying during worship and think, “How come God is moving?” You’ll see people spinning and falling when that “evil preacher” prays, and you’ll start doubting your own convictions. Then you’ll hear them say, “God doesn’t mind.” And before you realize it, you’ve joined them—believing that a life of sin and spiritual gifts can coexist without consequence.
That’s how the devil deceives many. He adds signs and wonders to confirm lies. And the lie is simple: that it’s okay to serve God while living in sin. But once you accept that, you’re no longer walking with the Spirit. You’ve entered the path of death.
Don’t wait until you’re too deep to get out. If you see corruption, leave as early as possible.
