Finishing the Father’s Will: Learn From Jesus

“My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.” — John 4:34

This is not as simple as people assume. You need the Spirit to help you know the will of God, empower you to do it, and strengthen you to finish it. Some of you are stuck at “know.” Some are stuck at “start.” Many never reach “finish.”

This is why we pray: “Father, help us know Your will. Help us do Your will. Empower us to finish it. Open our eyes. Reveal Your will. Give clarity.” Because once you know it, you must go on to finish it.

People mix up knowing with finishing. Jesus didn’t. He knew the will of God, and insisted on finishing it. That’s why He said, “Not My will but Yours”. That’s why He refused shortcuts. That’s why He didn’t let Peter use his sword. That’s why He stayed on the course.

So we must pray to know, pray to do, and pray to finish. That is the real walk with the Father.
