There are things many people experience, yet they dismiss them.
You can be awake for hours, active, alert, doing different things. The moment you say, “Let me pray,” suddenly you begin to yawn.
You attend devotions feeling heavy and sleepy. The moment the devotion ends, the sleep disappears. You are suddenly alert again.
You want to read your Bible, and immediately your mind begins to remind you of everything else you have not done. Things that were not urgent suddenly become urgent.
You want to fast, and suddenly hunger becomes aggressive. Meanwhile, on other days, you skipped meals without even thinking about it.
You are lively, discussing everything else, but when it comes to speaking about God, your energy drops. Your mind becomes hesitant. You start looking for a “better time.”
These things are consistent across many people. Different individuals, same experiences. And yet people say there is nothing behind it.
The issue is not that people are not experiencing these things. The issue is that they are interpreting them as normal.
When something consistently resists spiritual activity, you must question it. Because the enemy does not always come in obvious ways. Sometimes it is subtle resistance. Weakness at the point of obedience.
And if you keep dismissing it, you will never confront it.That is how many people lose ground—not because nothing is happening, but because they refuse to recognize what is happening.
