#140 | The BRIDE and the CHURCH

I was praying for the church when I saw a bride whose gown was torn and dirty. I saw those who were supposed to dress her up, to prepare her to meet her groom. They neglected her; using the facilities meant for her on themselves. They were all dressed in suits, looking prim and proper, while their ‘ward’ looked tattered.

Then I saw the groom. He had been looking at these men all along. He was very displeased with them. It got to the point that he released fire from his mouth on these men who were meant to prepare his bride.

As he did, all their shiny suits got burnt, but they were preserved. This of course jolted the majority of them back to their senses. They began to attend to different parts of the bride’s body.

Those who ought to be dressing her feet were found at her feet. Those who ought to pay attention to her hands were at her hands. They all returned to their different ministries. I felt that these were the ones who were once on the right track but got deceived along the way. Hence, the fire they encountered brought them back on the right track.

Others who encountered the fire began to roam about in circles, looking confused, and not knowing what to do. I felt these were the deceivers who didn’t even know the right way, not to talk of walking in it.

Then I found myself saying:

“Let the church know Your fear.”

Then I remembered a new song that one of our sisters had gotten:

“Let the spirit of the fear of the Lord come upon His house.”
