As we worshipped, I saw a woman making bread. It seemed she had added yeast and was working it into the bread.
Matthew 13:33 came to mind:
“He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”
It was as though our praise was that yeast—spreading and working its way through the nation.
As the praise grew intense, I saw a whirlwind begin to form. It rose upward into the sky and created an opening in the heavens for light to shine through. Prior to this, the clouds above seemed dark, and this darkness was over the land. Our praise (either before or after we started singing, ‘We bless you Nigeria’), was what pierced through the sky through the whirlwind, and created the opening.
As the light began to shine down on the land, I saw a pool—more like a river—and the light shone into it. Out of this, I saw a woman, who I believe represented Lady Nigeria, walking gently into the pool. It seemed as though our singing was strengthening her steps as she entered.
The river had four segments, and on each side of the segments stood people—eight in total—arranged in two rows, waiting for her. I had the impression that they were maidens, and they began to stir the waters. As the water was stirred, each level of the river had a specific work to accomplish in her.
At the first level, I saw the maidens begin to rip off garments from her—almost like when someone’s clothes stick to a wound, and you carefully remove them to treat it.
Then, as we began to sing We Bless You Nigeria, I heard the words:
“Speak to your land.”
Our words were adding to the intensity of the cleansing power of the water, and this was directly impacting the Lady whom I believe represented Nigeria.
