While we sang “Hallelujah,” I saw a young man standing at a gateway. It was a place in the sky filled with clouds, and I had an impression it was Heaven’s Gate.
He was given a scroll, which looked just like the Jade scroll meant for the Dragon Warrior in the animation Kung Fu Panda.
“Run! Run with it, and deliver the message.”
When he started running, the scene changed from the place in the skies with clouds. He was now on a race track, just like at the Olympics, where each runner has his own lane. However, it was a hurdle race, not the regular type.
He came across a high hurdle he needed to jump over. This hurdle was filled with spikes, slimy fluid, and other things. It was something one would instinctually try to avoid making contact with as it looked dangerous.
The young man wondered how he would get across that hurdle and continue his race. While he was thinking about that, I heard:
“While you are wasting time, the agents of darkness are running swiftly and past you in this race, because they know what they have. Know your weapon!”
Then I saw people on the track to his left and his right. They were people from the dark side— they had quickly run past him while he was still wondering how he would cross his own hurdle.
Suddenly, it dawned on me that the scroll was not just a message that he was to deliver to people, it was also a weapon that would help him through the journey on his way to fulfilling God’s assignment or purpose.
While he kept wondering what to do, I heard:
“Look at what is in your hands.”
This was said by the same voice that commissioned him to run at Heaven’s Gate. He looked at it, but it seemed like an ordinary scroll.
At this point, the picture that came to my mind was when Moses was being commissioned to go to Egypt to free God’s people. The Lord told him:
“What is in your hand?”
What seemed like an ordinary shepherd’s stick became a rod that performed the Lord’s miracles. (Exodus 4:1-2)
When I focused on the man again, the scroll had become a long jumping stick—the type used in pole vaults. And that was what he used to jump over the hurdle.
Later on in the vision, I saw that the scroll became many things. At a point, it became a walking stick he used to climb up a mountain. At another time, I saw wild animals coming to attack him, and he used this scroll as a stick to fight off the wild animals.
