And the response is important. You cannot just follow the same pattern. You cannot join the same disobedience that created the problem. You must stand differently. That is where obedience comes in.
If disobedience opened the door, then obedience is how the door is closed. Even Jesus learned obedience. Obedience is not automatic. It is taught. It is practiced. It is developed over time.
God begins to lead you—simple instructions at first. Then more difficult ones. And each time you obey, you are being trained. That is how change begins.
And sometimes, God raises someone like Gideon—one person who will obey and begin to reverse what has been happening for generations. The question is not whether change is possible.
The question is whether you will be the one who responds. Because freedom is available. But it is entered through obedience.
